Sweetest picture EVER!!!!!

I absolutely fell in love with this picture and couldn't resist sharing it. It makes me cry just looking at it and feeling so incredibly blessed to have such precious angels in my home. Do you ever just look at your children and fall in love with them all over again? Almost like it was the first moment you saw them. It takes my breath away sometimes.

New Socks!!!!

Well, Buddy is finished with Alaska!!! As a special treat for everyone, he brought each of us presents. Garrison got a Three Stooges movie, (which he LOVES), and the girls and I each got a pair of moose socks that say Alaska on them. Well, Garrison also loved the socks so they went to him. I guess we will share them. Anyhow, here are their cute little "moose feet."

A great man!!

President Gordon B. Hinckley died Sunday night (January 27, 2008) at age 97. President Hinckley was a very special prophet to me as he was the man who was prophet during most of my life. As sad as I am, I am very glad that he is with his wonderful, beautiful wife Marjorie Hinckley. He was someone very special to not only me but to the millions of members of this great and wonderful church. We love you very much President Hinckley and we will see you soon.

OOPS!!!

So, I was feeling so proud of myself tonight as I went into my room to get the laundry basket that was there. I found my self thinking "holy cow, I am almost 100% caught up on laundry. That never happens!!" I was boasting in my mind how this particular week in my life, I began Monday a very organized person, and here it is Thursday evening and I am still organized and living in a very clean home. As I am getting an emotional high at how proud of myself I am, BOOM!!! I (and my basket full of laundry) go flying down the stairs. Before I go any further, let me just add that you feel about 30 years older than you really are when you fall down a flight of stairs because parts of your body hurt, that you never thought could. I am fine overall. I did hurt my wrist, ankle and this spot right on the back of my thigh. I am sure tomorrow morning when my blasted alarm goes off, I will discover many new aches and pains. Oh yeah, I also have one VERY bruised ego. So earlier tonight I was looking at laundry at a wonderful, beautiful thing that I had conquered and now I, and my bruises, curse the laundry, and the stupid stairs too!!!!

Share and share alike!!!

My sweet girls wanted a snack before dinner today so they chose to "share" a fruit by the foot. Too cute to not "share" with everyone.

Do you think in colors???

Okay, so my husband and one of his sisters both think in colors and I think it is so weird. When they think of names, letters, numbers, months, years or days of the week, they associate them with colors. For example, my husband sees the color orange when you say the letter P. (just an example I really have no idea what color he sees) I just see the letter P. Buddy explained to me that usually whatever the first letter of the name is will be what color the name is. So if P is orange, then Paul and Patty are both Orange as well. Am I making ANY sense? He will listen to someone talk about the 1990's and think of the color blue. Many times he cannot even name the color but can say that it is a "reddish yellow" or a "blueish green". Well, last night we found out that Rachel does the EXACT SAME THING!!! I was laughing so hard because I find it so different. She too has a hard time naming some of the colors she sees but usually sticks with the basic colors. Buddy looked it up online and found a name for it and it is said to be hereditary. I was just curious to know if anyone else does it as well. According to Buddy, I am the weird one for not doing it. Thoughts anyone???

Movie night!!!

With all of the stress surrounding our home, I decided a fun movie night was in order. So the girls were in charge of getting the snacks (chips, goldfish, peanuts, granola bars) and I was in charge of getting Natalie to bed. Garrison even watched with us only because he refuses to be upstairs alone. So he suffered through most of the movie Hairspray until he fell asleep. It was a lot of fun!!!

Getting big

I was trying to get Natalie buckled in her car seat and she insisted on sitting up instead of laying down so I could strap her in. She thought she was so funny. And you know what, she was!!!!!

Pretty Ballerina

A good friend of mine took this picture of my beautiful ballerina girl. I can hardly believe she is 5!!! They grow just too darn fast!!!

Here's the scoop!!!

Buddy spoke with the people in Albuquerque today. The plan is for him to report back there on Monday, February 4th. He will get an apartment there until we can join him and purchase a home. The kids and I will stay here until the house sells. It is a day filled with many mixed emotions. My heart is aching at the very thought of leaving this awesome city of Omaha that our family has truly grown to love so much. However, moving back to Albuquerque will allow us to be much closer to our families and allow the kids to get to know their cousins much better. Either way, I have a lot to do and a very short time to get it done in. With buddy leaving for Alaska in just a few hours I am feeling somewhat overwhelmed but I do know that my Heavenly Father is going to get me through this, just as he has everything else.
